Event Overview

The Route 66 Pro Rodeo & Concert will bring the heart and grit of the American West to the crossroads of Joplin, Missouri, for a Memorial Day weekend celebration like no other. This premier two-day rodeo, live concert, and fireworks spectacular will honor the American Spirit, past and present, through adrenaline-charged action, live entertainment, and patriotic tributes.

Set against the nostalgic backdrop of Historic Route 66, this event will showcase elite rodeo athletes from across the region competing in rodeo events including bull riding, saddle bronc, barrel racing, and more. Each performance will blend traditional rodeo heritage with modern production. This show will be complete with arena pyrotechnics, LED screens, and concert-level sound and lighting.

Fireworks & Memorial Tribute

The event will transition into a patriotic fireworks solute, dedicated to the heroes who gave their lives for freedom. A special Memorial Day ceremony will be held each night during the rodeo in partnership with local veterans’ organizations, honoring service members with a live rendition of the national anthem and color guard presentation.

Concert & Entertainment

At the end of each night’s rodeo performance and fireworks salute , the fairgrounds will transform into a concert stage under the stars, featuring regional and locally recognized country artists . The mix of rodeo adrenaline and live music energy will make this weekend one of the largest outdoor entertainment experiences in southwest Missouri.
